WKO match to start in another half an hour ...

Guys,
I know you're at the Thomas Russell ground. Good. All the best!

I know you have the sweet memories from the semi-finals that we won miraculously at this ground beating MegaStars! Well, we're playing there again. I like this ground, especially for the bowlers and room for the batsmen on the off-side.

Do well.

Don't forget to take the scoring sheets with you because the official scorer is not available today :)

  • Unfortunately, Thomas Russel was not in playable condition. In fact, I think it is beyond repairs for the rest of the KO. So the game was moved to Spanglers (where we have some fond memories of Madan hitting sixes that landed on the roof of the building along the ropes).

    We won!
Saturday CC elected to bat and scored 85 for 9 in 15 overs. Naresh top scored with 22. There was a mini-collapse in the 13th over as Sat CC went from 69 for 5 to 71 for 9. However, Wasim and Shiv batted extremely well to get those 14 crucial runs with 8 coming off the last over.

While bowling, we were always in control. Everyone bowled very well but we did concede a few more runs than we should have. However, they were bowled out for 62 in 14.1 overs.

Easy win. But it should have been easier. Onto the next round now and the competition will get tougher.
